This is a list of policies of Templates Wiki.

Enforced[edit source]

These are enforced. Violating them wil result in a ban. The expiry time of ban depends on the administrator.

  1. Assume good faith.
  2. Don't be a jerk.
  3. Do no harm.
  4. Sign your posts on talk pages and forums.

Recommended, but not enforced[edit source]

These are not actual policies, but rather guidelines that are not required to but recommended to do. This is similar to the guidelines on Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

  1. Follow the standard style of editing.
  2. Do not make spelling or grammar mistakes.
  3. Make community consensus first, before creating a new policy.

Advice for newcomers[edit source]

  1. Be bold. Do not be afraid to edit, because anyone–whether they have a ShoutWiki account or not–can revert or fix your edit.
  2. Create an account. It will be safer, because your IP address will be hidden.
    1. However, when ShoutWiki Staff uses the CheckUser special page to compare accounts' IP addresses, they will see your IP address. Don't worry, it is only used when there are lots of spammers and/or vandals.
    2. When you are an IP editor (also referred to as an anonymous user or an anon), people can search the internet for your IP address and find your location (or your Internet Service Provider (ISP)'s location).
